Hi,

Can't find information on IVA direct - Money advice line.
Can you help? Can I trust this IVA company?

If you cannot find any info I would look at different firms with a more transparent reputation.

Although they legally have the right to garner these funds I would hope that many, if not most, firms would compromise and allow the money, or at least part of it, to be retained for the purposes it was awarded !

Might I ask which firm this is ?

I just read the case studies on the left sidebar for married couples, and I think I understand better what she was saying about our incom...

You are correct in that the joint debts will fall squarely on your shoulders if he goes into an IVA and you do not --- worrying that they should be so vague about giving you the bad news.

I would suggest that you have a chat with a few more firms before making up your minds.

The best advice I can give is to keep yourself occupied and try not to over think everything. Read the proposal and make sure you understand everybodies obligations. The meeting will provide the answer and, until then, there is little you can do.

PPI, and similar refunds, still belong to your creditors, via your former IP or successor, as recenty confirmed in the courts. Some IP's will have no interest and, in some cases, it might simply be uneconomical for the old files to be resurrected and creditors dealt with, in which case the refunds s...
