No! You cannot and must not favour one creditor over another. Debts have to be repaid fairly and pro rata to all creditors. If you do pay off a debt it is possible to have the IVA failed.

Who are you with ? An IVA for £9,000 seems a little heavy handed.

It is likely that your IVA will take this payment, or at least around half of it, in addition to your usual monthly payments.

Calculations such as the 10% 50/50 rule are carried out on the cash value you actually get in your pocket (so after tax and other deductions). You can't tell your IP what you are getting until you get the cheque and you know what the amount really is after deductions.

Good news. Creditors accepted the payments to date as full and final.. That's it no more payments I was told that they had to wait 28 after the creditors meeting to start closing the iva.. Is this normal? I am so. Relieved. Early Christmas present for me. Thanks everyone x Well done and congratulat...

Thank you for your reply, am waiting on a phone call back today to clarify things. No they’ve never asked for a valuation, first time they’ve been in touch with me about this was yesterday when I received letter advising they are extending Iva for a further 6 months to allow them time to look into ...

The equity question does have to be dealt with, but you are within your rights to lodge a complaint at their tardiness. Do you think there is enough equity to trigger an extension or a release attempt ( the details will be in your proposal under Equity Release) ? Are they expecting you to continue p...

Research insolvency firms and speak to a few to explore your options --- do you really need an IVA? There are other options, depending on the whole picture. Personally I would not deal with a company that calls me out of the blue -- I deal with those I choose. Creditfix is a "reputable" co...

They could do --- as well as ask for the "missing" £100 per month back. It is difficult to say as what happens will depend on what they discover / if they discover and when they discover. Also depends on how it was actually presented to them / how you have accounted for the £100 monthly in...

I am afraid that this lax attitude to customer service is the norm for many firms these days, but Aperture are up there on the leaders board ! You do need to ride them to get anything out of them .

Yes they will possibly query it and no, it is not allowed. If the rent IS £400 that is what you should have declared and you have understated your disposable income. Thisd is compounded by the fact that you can still live "comfortably" while effectively saving £100 per month. Your pledge, ...

The IVA providers should be sending completion certificates to the Insolvency Service, unless things have changed. Those that aren't are not completing their duties and are simply being lazy. I shall make enquiries ........... NTF = nightmare! I completed in August and I'm still on the insolvency r...
