CF are awful at communication, but their completion process does seem to be one of the less painful. They tend to follow the path of least resistance to provide a budget airline service.

In theory the PPI and similar refunds are assets of the IVA in perpetuity. In reality, it depends on whether it is economical, or the IP is motivated enough, to dig out old records and contact former creditors.

Thanks guys. Fingers crossed it won’t take that long to go through and then hopefully it’s excepted! But from reading others posts on here I take it Credit Fix are not quick moving! I’ve only been with them a couple of months as I was always with Knightsbridge and they were really good. They are no...

Payplan do march to their own drum these days ! To be honest I am surprised that an IVA was offered for such a small debt -- bit of a sledgehammer to crack a nut ! But, of course, there might have been good reasons at the time. Balances on credit reports, or even creditor statements, cannot be relie...

I am currently on an IVA through Hanover Insolvency, plan was accepted March 2018, so far so good. However I have recently received a letter of enforcement for a penalty charge notice dated Dec 2017. Amount owed now stands at £423, for £70 parking charge I thought was covered. What can I do? I'm so...

To be fair, and depending on the make up of your debt, £14k to clear £8k isn't that bad a deal. If you had paid it in the "normal" way (minimum payments and all) you could have paid the debt amount again in interest only and still be left with the principal sum ! Amyway .... Most IP's woul...

Hi Lisa When I first applied, I wasn't well informed on the different procedures available. I was just relieved to get lower debt payments. Also the bankruptcy fees were impossible to find. In hindsight I should have opted for bankruptcy. The initial relief of lower debt payments has now been repla...

I think they will, even for a basic account. I would go in branch and be upfront and clear, talk it through with an advisor before they do any paperwork, otherwise they might try to upsell and you will be refused anything above basic.

Back in the day, when I had an arranged overdraft, it used to show as available on my statements, so would have posed no problems in your situation. Hopefully CF have fixed their self made problem and you will have time to put an offer through.

I might add that, if it covers that all, you will be entitled to keep any PPI refunds you might get, so, at the same time as the completion certificate, ask the IP for a letter of no interest in PPI.

OK -- the divorce settlement will be regarded ar a windfall and will all be payable into the IVA. If it brings you to the settlement figure of full debt, plus fees and possible statutory interest, the IVA will conclude. If it brings you close, the IVA will conclude when the following few payments hi...

It is not your problem ... you have fullfilled your obligations and are entitled to the certificate of completion so that you can get on with your life. Your IP can sort out the returned cheque himself and re-distribute it to the other creditors if need be.

What is "normal" is to be given a date and a time --- the creditors must be given a stop time to vote, otherwise it could be intimated they have until midnight on the appointed day ! After a "normal" meeting you generally get the results within a couple of hours. However, if you ...

I am one year into my IVA and have received a lump sum that will clear my IVA. Once I do this can the Creditors come back for more? First we need to know where this lump sum has come from. Also .. to "clear" your IVA you need to pay over the full original debt, fees and possible statutory...
