Hi. You will go through the whole range of emotions -- this is normal. It is quite a step to take. Most of us here would say we wished we had done it sooner, rather than years of juggling and just making it through each month. It is not an easy path, but, with the right help and the right attitude i...

This seems a very complicated way of doing things? the whole selling point of an IVA is simplicity, no letters and no phone calls. I'd rather just pay my council tax the normal way, personally. I agree -- when I did mine the CT was left as an allowable expense if not in arrears but someone took it ...

You go to the Data Controller at the creditor to get the date amended --- the status doesn't matter. However, if it's a couple of months out it will still drop off before you could get it sorted anyway ---- have a read here: https://www.iva.co.uk/what-does-an-iva- ... dit-record

This IS standard procedure now (although I don't agree with making problems where there weren't any before) and, it appears, some councils have yet to catch on. You are probably caught up in an automatic system, in error. My local council simply writes off the CT debt for the current year. If it act...

Redundancy compensation is payable into the IVA, apart from the equivalent of 6 months salary which you will be allowed to keep and with which you will be expected to live and pay the IVA as normal for those 6 months while you seek alternative employment. You will not be permitted to repay loans fro...

Much would depend on the exact timing and time-scale of events, but the creditors might not look kindly on things --- on the other hand, now that you are a house owner, they stand to get back more than they would have done otherwise, either by way of equity release in the final stages of the IVA or ...

You need to make a formal complaint to the IP / Firm which you cn then escalate to their regulatory body via the Government Gateway here: https://www.gov.uk/complain-about-insolvency-practitioner Unfortunately the regulators will not intervene ...

CF are well known for doing this. You do not have to do it. do you know if it's ever caused trouble for people? I can't find any reviews for this programme online I have not heard of any problems caused but with the amount of computerised databases being unintentionally shared these days third part...
