Get yourself a copy of Keith's IVA Survival Guide ( see banner at the top of the page) -- real life stories from many of us about life in an IVA. Waiting to see what happens for the next 10 years isn't really an option if you sit and think about it. You need to be the one to take control, rather tha...

As Kallis says keep pressing them. I would not make mention of the house sale as the fact that this has taken a year or so is enough to base a complaint on and you need not be opening any cans of worms. Write direct to the IP by recorded delivery (keeping copies) to make a formal complaint, then you...

Hi, I have catalogue on my IVA. When I contacted them recently to find out if I had PPI, they say they cant find an account for me They could well have binned the old account as a write off ... they would probably look harder if you owed them the money ! Have you got details of the old account ? If...

If they treat the back pay as a windfall, which they can interpret as such, then they should not increase your IVA payment until after the next review. If the back pay is under £500 and you have the usual windfall clause you should be able to keep that as well.

Let your IP investigate - tell them to communicate with your IP who can then tell them to go away They had got in touch with the IP themselves and that is now why our IP is asking why we didn’t include them in our Iva. I’m really stressed now as I’m scared it will make our Iva fail when we really d...

They are not likely to make any change between now and the deadline -- apart from pushing claims. There is no reason for them to suddenly decide that, as the gravy boat is running dry they will let us have the dregs .... they will be going for those dregs themselves! As for the PPI contributing to s...

I believe the Mortgage default will show for 6 years from when it was lodged -- so another 3 years. Including it in the IVA will only allow it to be marked partially settled ( if the lender reports it as such).
