Creditors do not see a "score" as such. They look at your history. A clean history makes them wonder why. Modest credit card usage demonstrates that you repay the debts. They also weigh up the use of the cc debt ---- if you use near the max credit they wonder why you appear to "depend...

The end of your post sums it up nicely Willo. CT often try this move and sometimes sneak in other little changes. You are not obliged to agree to any change to the original conditions and it is, in my opinion, wrong for CF, or, indeed, any other firm, to try to make changes without your consent. CF ...

Hi I'm just about to finish my IVA in September after a total of 6 years. We didn't have to release our equity in our house in our final year. Just carried on paying our instalments. Once we have made our final payment what are the chances of being able to remortgage for home improvement or even to...

I would be inclined to ignore it .... I doubt they will seek to have the dividend amended.

The next move depends on the total amount of debt and the make up of that debt and your IP should be able to discuss that with you, knowing the full picture. Ask the IP exactly why the creditor refused -- it might be possible to amend the proposal to get an acceptance. If the debts are under £20k an...

Tell your case worker exactly what you have told us. It is far better if you discover and divulge a mistake than if they do !

Oh so there is not even any point my asking them to amend the default dates to the correct date the IVA was approved until after they should have dropped off my credit file next April? Seems unfair they can’t just correct the dates in the first place so that there are no undue delays following the ...

A permanent pay rise during the year should not be taken into account until the review following the rise and any increase only after that review -- so I doubt that there would be any extra required in that regard. The six months is usually counted from the date of the last regular payment and Apert...

Thanks Could I not just email them? Or does this have to be an official recorded delivery letter. I just want this sorted once and for all. Its been like a black cloud hung over my head for over 10 years. I want to try and move on and buy another property having lost mine 3 years ago. Would bankrup...

Write a formal complaint, addressed direct to the IP, demanding a full explanation and current situation. Send this by recorded delivery ( keeping copies). If no useful response you can then complainb to their regulatory body via the Government Gateway here: https://www.gov.uk/complain-about-insolve...

The best advice I can offer is to urgently speak with your IP and explain what is happening at the moment and what the difficulties are. They may be able to offer a way forward without scr pping the IVA, or even be able to ask the creditors to accept a full and final based on payments made to date. ...

My IVA is due to drop off my credit file after 26/4/2019 as this is 6 years from the date it was approved but I have noticed that even though my IVA was settled by full and final a few years ago, 1 account still shows as defaulted and not settled as the others do, what do I need to do regarding thi...

I HIDE THE SAVINGS I HAD AND DID NOT PAY TOWARDS MY IVA Ah, right. I doubt that the creditors would be inclined to agree to another IVA in that case and the Official Receiver might also be a little more strict with your case as well. I can only advise you to co-operate fully with the OR. It would d...

You do not have to give them third party access -- they can make do with paper copies. Banks have recently allowed TPA in the UK but the risk is entirely the account holders. Personally I would never agree to such an arrangement.
