As Luluj says (and with the agreement of your creditors) the nominees fees are generally settled first, so, in the early stages, the creditors get very little.

As Kallis says, they will close your account, as they have done to others in IVA's, and often without notice. Even those who owe them no money!

For some these loans work. You will end up paying more but the upside is that your financial life will be your own again with no IP looking over your shoulder. If you get a massive pay rise, win the lottery or inherit from Great Aunt Matilda the money will be yours, instead of going into your IVA. A...

As Lisa says -- they should give you a report after each review (a copy of which is sent to creditors).

I agree with Lisa ... Payplan are getting worse ( and were never at the front of the queue!). I take it, as you are still in the initially agreed term, they have hiked your payments and / or are demanding equity release. They can only act within the terms of your agreement -- dig it out and read up,...

We do not get that many complaints about them, certainly not as many as we get about some others. They do mess up now and again ... but doesn't everybody. They weren't my provider, so I cannot comment from experience --- hopefully some of their clients will be along to share experiences.

Their website would indicate that they are a packaging company -- they will collate your details and pass them to another firm who actually provides IVA's (maybe a firm you would prefer not to go with). They are also guilty of making nuisance marketing calls ... and I would avoid cold callers anyway...

No assets but rent a property and have car on HP, both of which we can’t change as we have two children with autism. Also don’t want their DLA money to be affected, we are currently using it as my salary top up and to pay for the car. I haven’t contacted any companies yet, don’t know where to start...

It depends on the terms of the lease agreement, not on the fact that the IVA exists. Cancellation might produce further debts which may derail the IVA. You need to check the fine print on the agreements, then discuss with your IP.

The lump sum will not reduce the amount owing --- you still owe the full debt, plus fees and statutory interest until the IVA has concluded. Sprout will need to work with your IP -- as they will need his approval. Also, some creditors will routinely reject an offer based on further lending ... so a ...

I read it on a template site- they advised you always should put a date in? I’ll take this out- thanks :-) If you need some protection you could include that the lump sum would be reduced by the amount of payments made after a given date. Even the faster firms would take around 2 months to get a me...

I would be wary of approaching High Street lenders directly as, despite their published policies, the way they treat IVA's varies (indeed, sometimes from branch to branch of the same lender!). We have had at least one former poster (in addition to Joanna, above) who has actually done this and was lu...

Thanks foggy,

In the letter it does state that this offer will only be available until 30/9/2018 should I take this out or do you think this may help speed things up?

Why have you put this end date in ? In any event, you will probably pass this date, so the offer would not be entertained.

It is not down to CF to accept or refuse .... that is in the laps of the creditors and, to be honest, can be anyone's guess. However, lately CF have had an issue with variation where they changed the long agreed format, without consultation, and the creditors didn't like it. There are whispers that ...

They are also bound by the IVA and cannot harrass you for collection. If they contact you again get your IP to speak to them.
