I have found, over the years, that the computer often says "No" and human intervention then brings a "Yes" ! Maybe an appeal would bring about that intervention.

An IP would rarely offer a product that included PPI, although I believe some used to offer a policy to cover IVA payments (whether that had PPI built in, only they can tell you).

Although I share Merlin's interpretation and sentiments, having rung CF, you will need to cash the cheque and pay the amount to CF. It is up to CF if they wish to pursue the illegal offsetting (doubt they will as they seem to have no stomach for a fight).

I agree with Lisa --- if you accept the max allowance at £250 and commit to finding the extra £26 by savings from other agreed allowances.
