I find it confusing to have an industry expert on here putting me in touch with an IP but you are all saying I should try different companies? I am going with this because it’s recommended by someone on here. So are the creditors saying you should let your pets suffer or die then? Obviously you wou...

Noted - does the negative equity on HP secured vehicle count?

Bit of a "chicken and egg" question ! And ... is the loan secured on the vehicle ? Something that could be explored by a DRO intermediary.

Unless the full original debt , plus fees and possible statutory interest were paid in your IVA, thereby settling everything owed any PI will still be payable to your creditors as an asset of the IVA, even thugh it has completed. There is a chance that your IP will declare no interest ( usually down...

I received a text from CreditFix yesterday saying that the IVA has successfully completed and we will receive our documents shortly. It's a relief now it is over.

Congratulations ! It shouldn't be long ... CF are good at fast closures.

Some IP's "accept" pet insurance, some don't, although it is specificaly included in th Step Change guidelines (albeit rolled into Pets, food and insurance @ £34 max), Even if the IP includes it the creditors may still reject it at the meeting. If you refuse an amendment made by creditors ...

Because he has had a pay rise and he agreed when he took out the IVA that he would pay the extra into his IVA his monthly payment is now £450. So creditors are now expecting to get a further £8100 ( assuming the usual 60 payment IVA and he rents) --- why did they say 2 years ? On those figures I wou...

Hi. A DRO is unsuitable because you have assets : The car. An IVA is unsuitable because you can only afford £45 a month, which wouldn't even cover the fees in an IVA. A DMP, at least for the time being, seems the most suitable. It would at least give you some breathing space to get yourself sorted i...

As luluj intimates, it will depend on whwther you are a homeowner as to whether you have equity release to deal with. If you do a further 12 months payments is usually added for a full and final. Also be wary of terminology: "Settlement" is generally taken as meaning paying the balance of ...

They are a legitimate company and have a large proportion of IVA business. However, I liken them to the Easyjet of the IVA world --- if everything goes right you get cheap and cheerful service with no frills. I wouldn't like to be with them if things go pear shaped, however. They seem to have an iss...

As your IP suggests, report them to the ombudsman. If they take you to court they will be laughed out, but it would be better to avoid that hassle.

You would possibly need to both go into an IVA otherwise the joint loans would fall to you to repay --- but this should be explored by your IP at the start. Also open a new, basic, account with a bank that is not a creditor.

Usually an insurance payout to replace the vehicle is OK if that is what it is actually used for -- after all, at the end of the day, no vehicle often means no work these days, which, in turn, would mean no IVA payments ! There should be no problem if your parents are kind enough to gift you a modes...

If you do get dismissed you can ask CF if they would agree to a payment break while you look for alternative employment. This will, if they agree to it, be added back on at the end of the term.

Good luck.
