I might add that, if it covers that all, you will be entitled to keep any PPI refunds you might get, so, at the same time as the completion certificate, ask the IP for a letter of no interest in PPI.

OK -- the divorce settlement will be regarded ar a windfall and will all be payable into the IVA. If it brings you to the settlement figure of full debt, plus fees and possible statutory interest, the IVA will conclude. If it brings you close, the IVA will conclude when the following few payments hi...

It is not your problem ... you have fullfilled your obligations and are entitled to the certificate of completion so that you can get on with your life. Your IP can sort out the returned cheque himself and re-distribute it to the other creditors if need be.

What is "normal" is to be given a date and a time --- the creditors must be given a stop time to vote, otherwise it could be intimated they have until midnight on the appointed day ! After a "normal" meeting you generally get the results within a couple of hours. However, if you ...

I am one year into my IVA and have received a lump sum that will clear my IVA. Once I do this can the Creditors come back for more? First we need to know where this lump sum has come from. Also .. to "clear" your IVA you need to pay over the full original debt, fees and possible statutory...

You need to speak to Halifax to see a) what they have done with the account and b) can they trace and retrieve the money. If the O/D ws included in the IVA they cannot (should not) use the money incorrectly paid into the dormant / closed account and should return it. I do not know what the £150 you ...

Phew ! Here goes: 1) We owed £65k and paid back £410 per month -- this was accepted. Difficult to second guess but the IP wouldnot put forward an obviously unacceptable offer. 2) Selling assets at this stage could be looked at as favouring one creditor over another, which is a "no-no" in t...

They are not in the contract -- they only supervise it. It is your IVA, not theirs. Yes, they should be on the ball and conducted the annual reviews ... but equally you should be there to remind them when they miss things. It will be your IVA that could fail if things go wrong ! Usually, missed revi...

Sounds like a good plan...the loan won't show on your profile until after it is completed but, with a fair wind now that Creditfix are able to proceed with the creditors meeting, that should be soon and your IVA will be history. If you'd like to send me a private message with your details on I can ...

Most of the answers are here: https://www.iva.co.uk/what-does-an-iva-do-to-your-credit-record The info appearing in your online reports through the likes of Noddle and Clearscore can be a couple of months out of synch. They cannot chase you for any more -- the debt has been legally written off. The ...

You submitted the original proposal and the meeting was then adjourned several times, while CF tried to get more creditors to vote positively --- they failed and, as I understand it, a creditors meeting can only be adjourned a set number of times. This has happened and they are suggesting submitting...

Another of CF's failings is communication ... you might need to call them. just had a call from cf...they want me to re submit the proposal as they've said there wasnt enough support for it to go forwards, when i pushed they said it was lack of voters...not sure what to do now. Ask them for the Chai...
