Not long to go, but bear in mind a break if things get too tough ( do not mention that you are borrowing from friends though ).

Hmm. Not sure if I'm any the wiser. I started in July and the CT payments were added to the IVA and spread out amongst creditors (I believe) So the Council will get some I suppose. I mean couldn't they refuse to allow me the basic services like bin collection and.......Oh, I can't think of anything...

2 more payments ? Has the IVA already been extended in lieu of equity on the house ? If so, it might be worthwhile having a word with the IP and see if you can pay up those two payments to get the IVA completed --- then, in due course once you have the completion certificate, you will be free to do ...

Select have, in the past, deemed it not in the debtors interests to proceed, where that is the case. They will look at the figures and, possibly, offer a secured loan -- which you are not obliged to accept -- if one is available. A remortgage is unlikley, though not impossible --- they used to be fr...

Topic: IVA extended to cover pay rise, why do they want me to pay more than arrears?

I would have thought that they are only able to extend to cover the amount of the arrears and, from earlier posts, you are pretty close to hitting 100%, so that needs to be looked at too. There also looks to be some discrepancy regarding the actual amount of these arrears ( you previously quoted £15...

Have you already extended the IVA in lieu of equity ? If not the IVA will be extended for another 12 months, or you might be asked to release equity anyway, by way of a remortgage ( which is unlikley to be able to be done ). The majority of equity, if released, belongs to your creditors and will not...

This is further complicated by GT now morphing into Aperture. It really depends upon exactly what was transferred at the time. I would suggest dropping a line to Aperture in the first instance. Also a long shot, but, if the completed cases where not transferred then contacting Gillian directly might...

As Luluj says, you are not committed at this stage. Simply tell them you do not wish to go ahead. Might I ask what the problem is ?

If the IVA is already running you can allow it to fail, but it will remain on your credit files for the full 6 years and any damage it might do regarding your job has probably already been done. Liek Luluj I am curious as to what the job is and why the IVA puts it in jeopardy. I might add that you w...

Depending on the figures you might be able to raise a secured loan with which to make an offer to creditors for a lump sum payment. You would need to discuss this possibility with prospective IPs as part of the initial fact finding exercise.

The PPI belongs to your creditors unless, as Kallis mentions, it covers the full original debt, plus fees and possible statutory interest, in which case any surplus will be returned to you.

I am afraid that if you sell the house now your creditors are entitled to 85% of the equity as you are disposing of an asset. You do not merely "owe" the remaining payments, but still actually owe the full original debt, plus fees and possible statutory interest. Unfortunately you have put...

I finish paying my iva in July but I'm struggling this month and need a hundred pound to get through the month. There is no one I can borrow off. I've never missed a payment. Would getting a pay day loan now affect my iva/ credit? Getting a payday loan would be inadvisable. Unless you have the usua...

It will depend on the level of debt and the value of the home, as well as how your own creditors view it. But certainly worth a chat with a few firms for specific advice. Owning a home in itself is not a bar to an IVA, but, as usual, it all boils down to figures.
