Payplan had a bit of a restructuring a while back and have, really, been on a downhill slide since then.

HMRC are not always the easiest to deal with and sometimes insert their own terms. I would suggest a small / medium firm ... the larger ones do not treat you as an individual and tend to avoid obvious difficulties. I know McCambridge Duffy deal with a lot of self employed and, by extension, with HMR...

Well done and congratulations.

Normally we advise that the money should come direct from the donors account, but I assume that CF have checked it and are happy it is their money, not yours. It should be OK coming straight from your account at this stage.

Please could posters refrain from dragging up ancient posts for no good reason as this clutters up the board with long solved threads. I have also noticed an increasing number of "cut and paste" posts which do not appear to be relevant or to assist the OP, but appear to be more for the purposes of i...

As long as you have not missed any payments that they need to catch up on, yes, you can cancel the direct debit. And -- good thinking on the RX4 restriction.... This will need to be removed by your IP, but, so often, IPs keep forgetting to do this, so a subtle reminder to them from you would not go ...

The IP refusing to put your full and final offer forward is also grounds to complaint to their regulators. Who are you with? They sound horrendous !

Well done -- Congratulations ! Once you have made payment your IP will commence closure procedures. This can take 3 - 6 months, but is often earlier. Then you will be issued with a completion certificate ( keep this in a safe place) and the IVA will be done. Have a read here: https://www.iva.co.uk/w...

Which firm are you dealing with ? You don't have to do a DMP, you could still look at bankruptcy.

Ask them for specifics: What do they claim you have inflated and on what basis ? Presumably you can counter with proof of actual outgoings. Do this in writing to your IP direct. Couch it in terms of a formal complaint which, in the absence of a satisfactory response, can be escalated to their regula...

There are two brokers with a proven track record who post here: Ryan and Shaun. Their contact details can be gleaned from their profile pages:

In theory it doesn't show anywhere, but I have long thought that there may be archival records somewhere --- after all those PPI claims firms claimed to be able to go back several decades !!

I would speak to StepChange for advice on a DRO or a DMP ..... not for an IVA. For an IVA I would look to smaller firms who will treat you as an individual and not as a "cash-cow". As a point of interest CF are one of the most expensive firms, with respect to fees, and this has, more than once, resu...

The amount of the 12 'extension payments' should be based on your disposable income, so presumably, close to your previous payments, unless you have had a rise in income or drop in expenses. Ask them what they have based the increase on.

It has been a tough old road -- but well done on getting this far !!! You ask how to explain yourself at the interview --- and then provide your own answer in the last few words of your first post: " I'm managing now, but made mistakes in the past. " You have been in this IVA now for two years --- y...

You can, but I would suggest speaking to a whole of market broker with a proven track record in dealing with applications for those with an IVA in their past. An inexperienced broker could do more harm than good.
