It is common practice for debts to be sold all the time. They are usually sold off as "auction style lots" --- bundles of debts of all types and status and the buyer takes the risk that some are in IVA's.

If everything went your way and you had nerves of steel -- it might work. The loans, however, would not be defaulted, just left showing arrears for ever. There is no time limit on undefaulted accounts showing on your credit files. Bailiffs can be quite persistent, and some not so adherent to the &quo...

There is a possibility that they will reject an IVA if they feel that they stand more chance of getting repaid from equity in the home. Might I suggest having a chat with either Ryan or Shaun ( or both of them) to see about releasing some equity to cover the debts. Their details can be found here: R...

They are being a bit "inventive" with the facts. If you have or had an IVA, PPI is rightly payable to the creditors as recently ratified in court. IF, after the IVA completes, the IP declares that he has no interest ( a rare occurrence) any PPI still due to be claimed could be yours. This ...

You cannot cghange IVA providers once the IVA has started. The person who has left was your case handler --- however the person ultimately responsible is your IP (supervisor). Get their name from your paperwork, or the insolvemcy register and write direct to them by recorded delivery , keeping copie...

The letter has to be from the donor --- sort of "chain of evidence" for the creditors. It shouldn't restart the clock --- just check what it actually says in the variation proposal, when they draft it. No idea on the variation appointment (assumimg this is a little chat before drafting ( t...

Extremely unlikely that you will get a mortgae from a lender that will allow you to keep your knees in the event of a missed payment ! Even if you could -- by joining in with the partner, you will taint that squeaky clean record they currently enjoy.

I agree with Lisa -- tax liability up to the end of the tax year in which the IVA commences should be included in the IVA.

Up to three months from the time the termination certificate is issued, which itself could be up to 6 months (usually a lot less) from when the IVA was declared a failure. It will remain on credit reference agency files for the full 6 years from the start.

You need to go back to your solicitor. The IVA provider would have put a restriction (not order) on the property which she should have signed to agree to. Maybe he forged the signature, I don't know. Negotiate with Aperture to see if they will accept that £10k into the IVA in return for them releasi...
