I would ditch the Sky TV and new flooring in your report to your IP. Extra fuel, footwear, dressings hospital visits etc can all be used to justify the amount you are getting as the full income in attendance allowance, leaving a zero balance.

You will never pay more than you owe other than the fees for your IP. You could pay more than what was initially calculated during the proposal period based on your Income and Expenditure review.

If your parents know about your IVA then I would be inclined for one of them to be registered on the V5 and then you just insure it in your name. You could pose this question to your IVA company, as it is clearly a gift it may be excluded as an asset.

If they continue to send letters then just refuse to speak with them, as has been said this debt is protected under your IVA. Some debt companies take a bit of time before it sinks in, others try to bully you into making a payment plan, do not gets sucked in by them.

I too would be concerned getting a letter like this. I would do nothing until you get confirmation via a phone conversation with Aperture that you instigated.

I don't have a Kindle, so will miss out on this opportunity. I will never suffer the addiction of gambling but am not hard enough to not believe that it is something that I may have fallen into but was just lucky enough that I didn't. Good luck Radish and I hope you make a success out of your book w...

The Bank can not enforce any recovery action over a debt covered in the IVA. Write to them, by recorded delivery, enclose a copy of your CC and closing chairmans report. Also state that they are conducting an act of harassment and if they do not cease sending you letters you will report them to the ...

Some cheque cashing places do an insolvency check themselves before accepting the cheque, this is mainly to ensure the person isn't BR but could flag up the IVA as well. Too dodgy a risk that I would have been willing to attempt though.

I don't believe that any 'sensationalised' headline title is going to truly reflect the process and protocol of an IVA. There is a degree of withholding some of the truth of what you will be expected to encounter during the period, but then it is an I (individual) VA. I got 'sold' on in year 2 to a ...

Max recovery are pretty good at customer satisfaction. Chances are they have just lodged their interest in your IVA dividends because your debt was included in a batch they have bought from Banks etc.

Would you seriously just walk away from over £1000 you could be owed back? Especially, as you put it, when you're trying to focus on a new debt free life? Yes, if it meant putting my IVA behind me and focusing on leading a better debt free life without having to dwell on my past debts, in a heart b...
