This is the second post about Lloyds, I wonder if I will be getting a surprise cheque too, given then were a big chunk of my debts.

Here's hoping Mrs Brown, they were also a big part of my debt

Taking into account what you have said, you can make PPI claims now the IVA has finished, BUT; you will not see a penny of it as it is still owed to the IVA and is legally an asset of that IVA and payable to your IP. If you go ahead, do not use a 3rd party company to claim as they will snatch their ...

I believe another member posted up with the same 'dilemma' . CF accepted that they were not going to give online access to their accounts and settled for paper, so I think you will be OK on this.

The bottom line is you have not been paying off the debt, you have been making dividend payments based on what you can afford over the 5 year period. You full debt is always what you owed, statuary interest and IP fees, the figure you were initially given was not your full debt but your dividend pay...

I think, but don't quote me, that it has to have some human intervention. Nearing the end of my IVA everyone was saying 3 months max to fall off the IR. I was surprised and totally amazed that I dropped off on the 3rd day after the date on my CC. This could only have happened by a human pressing a b...

Moorcroft's are parasitic debt collectors and are trying their luck. They know full well that they can make no legal claim to your ex-debts and hope that harassment may just tip you over and you end up paying them. The debt they bought it worthless and they will try any tactic to get some of their i...

Mine also took a dive Chappie, once all my defaults fell off the report then I can only assume that as there was no current history than it can only go down. Took a good 6-7 months before it climbed as up to date information was being recorded.

I had a PCP with Black horse when my IVA started, wasn't an issue as my allowance allowed for the payments until termination.

I would hazard a guess at no they won't affect the application. There have been members on the forum who have gone through this scenario and had positive results.

To be honest it's poor advice advising it's 'very unlikely' to secure a mortgage whilst in an IVA. It seems a lot of people who have entered an IVA on the back of advice like this have a shock when it comes to the time to release equity, as they find out it may be possible. Lenders attitudes toward...

Very unlikely you will be able to secure a remortgage during the IVA. New IVA protocols have a 12 month extension or a secured loan from a 3rd party of your IVA company to cover this shortfall in equity. To be honest it's poor advice advising it's 'very unlikely' to secure a mortgage whilst in an I...

I don't believe being a guarantor will preclude you from an IVA, as Foggy says I think that you would have to declare this to any potential IP so that it can be set aside as a contingency debt or some action required to release you from the contract? You need to speak to a few companies about enteri...

Defaults stay on your credit file for 6 years. Even though you paid the IVA early the defaults still exist - they don't magically get wiped as if they never existed. You will have to be patient and creditors must report the truth whether the debts have been partially satisfied or not. If you were t...

Don't worry about this letter too much. I got one when I proposed my IVA as I had credit cards and overdraft with my bank. It is just a standard procedure and will be unenforceable once you are in the IVA, the banks know this but go through the motions anyway. Make sure you change banks now before t...
