Hi, Nothing has really changed too much where mortgages are concerned so the previous posts are still true. Firstly you would need to settle the IVA prior to being able to obtain a mortgage - if you then have access to a large deposit (around 30%) there may be specialist Lenders who would look to le...

Hi Anthony,

If you click on your details on the Insolvency Register is should tell you when they received your Certificate and it should be removed 3 months from that date.

Hi Helly,

If you aren't able to re-mortgage to purchase the remaining share you would instead start paying the 'rent' on the share that you don't own. Your IP should also be aware of this if will still be in your IVA at that time.

As has been said speak to Creations Data Controller and ask them to default the account on the same day as the IVA started. By doing so as you are over 6 years from the IVA start date the account will immediately fall off the credit reports and as you are now over 6 years from the start date there a...

Hi Moira, On the mortgage front there are some specialist Lenders who may look to lend to you now if you have access to a large deposit but you would be looking at higher than 'normal' High Street interest rates. As Foggy has said it may be possible 3 years after the Completion Certificate was issue...

The Creditor would need to amend the default date to the IVA start date so that all the default dates are the same.

The default date would need to be corrected at some point. The Mortgage Lenders won't really know what a Notice of Correction is saying they would just find the date of the default.

Hi Claire,

With regards the mortgage possibilities there are indeed Lenders who will consider applications 3 years after early settlement, it is generally subject to credit score which ca be an issue but we have managed to obtain mortgages for Clients 3 years after early settlement.

That's great news Neil.

As Lisa says it's worth contacting them regularly to make sure the Completion Certificate is issued asap so that you are removed from the Insolvency Register at the earliest opportunity.

The Lenders have their own credit scores so the actual scores on the individual reports will be different to the Lenders. The important factor for us is that the 3 credit reports are clear at the 6 year point, we can then look to use High Street Lenders.
