As Foggy says best to check that all 3 credit reports are clear and up to date (Experian, Equifax/Clearscore & Noddle/Callcredit).

Hi Adele, We are in talks at present with a Specialist Lender who is looking to launch a Help to Buy product in the next couple of months that would be available to those who have settled IVAs early so fingers crossed that will be launched sooner rather than later. As for the High Street Lenders the...

Hi Najeeba, In that case you'd be looking at June next year as being the point when we could look to obtain a 'normal' mortgage for you with a High Street Lender. If you looked to apply now/before the end of the 6th year you would require a minimum 25% deposit (possibly more depending on circumstanc...

Hi Michelle, If the IVA has Completed we have access to High Street Lenders that would look to lend normally 6 years after an IVA began. Most Lenders however won't look to lend until an additional period of time has elapsed (some maybe an additional 3 year and some possibly 6) and some sadly would n...

As Foggy says you want them to default you now as then the default will fall off after 6 years. Much better than having to chase them in 6 years time to get default dates amended.

Hi Kerry, Most Brokers don't come across IVAs too often so they don't really know who will lend when to be honest. 6 years after the IVA began, as long as your Completion Certificate has been issued is the earliest that we could look to obtain a Mortgage with a High Street Lender at normal interest ...

Hi, With regards to re-mortgaging once all 3 of your credit reports (Experian, Equifax and Callcredit/Noddle) are clear and up to date we have certainly managed to obtain re-mortgages with High Street Lenders for Clients in similar situations. The IVA should come off the reports once they receive th...

I echo Foggy's words. I would add the fact you referred to the person as a 'salesman' does I think hit the nail on the head as to why people aren't getting told all the facts. we hear it quite a lot unfortunately.
