Was it definitely a fine i.e. issued by a council or a court or was it a private parking charge issued by a parking company. If the latter then it is a civil debt and paying it could put your IVA at risk and you should speak to your IP about getting it added to the IVA. Marstons are scum and will li...

Would you have been able to catch up the missed payments on those 2 or 3 days?

Don't payplan ask your husband for a cashflow forecast for the coming 12 months at annual review time? They always did with me. I used the previous years accounts as the basis for this.

After six years it's over :)

And now, other than my car insurance payment, I don't owe anybody anything.

What a great feeling.

To anyone starting out on the IVA journey all I can say is stick with it, it will be worth it in the end.

To be honest I'm not too worried about having a pre payment meter, i would still put on my 100 a month and at least i could see exactly what I'm spending day to day.

Just be careful that if they do give you a pre-payment meter they don't add the debt onto it.

Accepted! :D Congratulations I remember the feeling of relief when ours was accepted, I also remember the feeling of being able to go food shopping properly and having the money to pay for essentials. That feeling of forwarding all the threatening letters to the IP was great too and remember, ...

That's very strange as our IVAs were with payplan, my wife's finished last year and they said that only 20% of her income could be used in the calculation of my payments for the final year. Does the contribution they are expecting from youi come to more than 20% of your income?

I really can't see the point of this. You are going to repay the amount plus interest over a longer term than the IVA. Unless the interest is a lot less than the discount you get on the IVA whats the point? The only time I can see it being beneficial is if you know your circumstances will improve gr...

As you hold such a high percentage of his debt the IVA can't go ahead unless you agree but that doesn't stop him going bankrupt where you may get a much lower payout.

IVA trumps CCJ and Bankruptcy trumps both.
