They have to default it as of the date it was included in the IVA. Write a letter to the creditor, along these lines, addressed to their data controller: Re: [ account number / reference/ debt details] I entered into an Individual Voluntary Arrangement on dd/mm/yyyy which is shown on the Insolvency...

Long story short. I had a motorbike on finance which I VT'd before my IVA started in 2012. As far as I was concerned I owed no more on it but according to the finance company there was an outstanding balance which was included in my IVA and shows on the final Chairmans Report. Now it shows on Noddle...

As frustrating as it is, you are covered from all your creditors. They can huff and puff, but you needn't worry about their lack of internal communications. Debts are sold on all the time by large creditors, it gets them off their books and relies on 'someone' else to administer the debt. Again don...

Rather than start a new thread I thought I would ask here. When a default date needs correcting who would we send the letter to, the original creditor or the company the debt has been sold to? EG On Experian and Equifax Barclaycard show as a creditor with an incorrect default date. On Callcredit thi...

Curious to know.

Who told you that you shouldn't be in an IVA?

If it was the company that are offering a 'better solution' I would be a bit suspicious.

Was it definitely a fine i.e. issued by a council or a court or was it a private parking charge issued by a parking company. If the latter then it is a civil debt and paying it could put your IVA at risk and you should speak to your IP about getting it added to the IVA. Marstons are scum and will li...

Would you have been able to catch up the missed payments on those 2 or 3 days?

Don't payplan ask your husband for a cashflow forecast for the coming 12 months at annual review time? They always did with me. I used the previous years accounts as the basis for this.

After six years it's over :)

And now, other than my car insurance payment, I don't owe anybody anything.

What a great feeling.

To anyone starting out on the IVA journey all I can say is stick with it, it will be worth it in the end.

To be honest I'm not too worried about having a pre payment meter, i would still put on my 100 a month and at least i could see exactly what I'm spending day to day.

Just be careful that if they do give you a pre-payment meter they don't add the debt onto it.
