We have finished our IVA. Paid all 60 payments so had to do the equity release thing. Select is a company who have helped us look at remortgage/secured loan. You wont need their input if doing a f&f with familys help. I was just telling other posters who read that select have been total opposite...

They told me theyd changed the format of paperwork recently and creditors not happy with it. The guy i spoke to this week has given me the impression my adjourned meeting on Monday still wont take place and theyll need another 28days notice for another one! Goodness knows what theyre playing at! And...

Thanks foggy. So each month that they delay and I continue paying extra into the 6th year they still get the agreed equity release money too?!! surely that encourages them to keep delaying! They might get an extra 3-6 months payments AND the equity release!!! I might as well just pay the extension f...

The day has finally arrived! Fingers crossed Creditfix havent messed up again and it gets the go ahead this time! We have paid all 60 payments. Agreed to a secured loan despite being on the old terms because it appears the better option for us rather than remortgage/extra payments. So all being well...

We were told by Creditfix that allay would be dealing with our PPI issues. We also bit dubious about it at first but seems legit. There seems to be lits of numbers, contacts and departments! I was getting 12+ emails a day sometimes all the same thing at 3/4am! Plus letters and telephone calls! It wa...

sorry to jump in on the post... how is inheritance dealt with 'after' an iva? Surely if after closure it belongs to you not creditors unless it was known about before closure?? Or is any future inheritance dealt with same as PPi?? I only ask as we are technically finished just waiting to know equity...

Our 60th payment left the bank account today! Cant believe this is nearly over! It is amazing! Still remember first speaking to Mel and crying my eyes out at how non judgemental she was and how understanding she was about our financial difficulties and now we have made our 60th and hopefully final p...

We have been dealing with Select since Feb this year to deal with equity release. They made contact with us so at first very cagey and cautious but have found them reliable, professional and helpful. We have opted for a secured loan even though not in our t&c's because it feels the better option...

Same scenario. Last of our 60'payments goes next week and got a letter on Monday saying awarded PPI (£800) was going into our IVA. Its gutting but thats what we signed up for. Always owe full amount of debt you entered the IVA with plus additiona fees/interest i think. What isnt paid from the 60 pay...

Yes the T&C's do state can have credit up to £500. I can always phone them and request it is reduced. I didnt expect to have that immediately! Their buff says £150-£1000 initially so expected the lowest end given our history. Thanks everyone. Fingers crossed in a months time I will be posting to...

Anyway, I spontaneously applied for a Vanquis credit card last night as our credit rating has already gone up from last month. Im now panicki...
