I agree, it seems unusual for a lender to repossess for such a (relatively) small amount. Have you been issued with an eviction notice?

It's a little difficult to determine your best course of action with the brief info you are able to provide through open forum but, for your income to be considered in any lender's assessment, you would have to be a party to the mortgage. From what you are saying this doesn't sound like it would be ...

Sounds like a good plan...the loan won't show on your profile until after it is completed but, with a fair wind now that Creditfix are able to proceed with the creditors meeting, that should be soon and your IVA will be history. If you'd like to send me a private message with your details on I can k...

The payment history on the new second charge mortgage will also be a positive influence on your score of course. The only other thing I would mention is to be careful of applying for too many different credit cards....too many searches recorded against you can have a negative impact. So my suggestio...

Normanna is absolutely right, lenders generally take little (or no) notice of the credit score provided by the credit reference agencies themselves but it's a good indicator all the same. My guidance would be to make sure you are registered on the voters' roll and use a credit card for everyday expe...

Your options may be limited and you are right not to simply apply randomly to lenders but there's no reason it shouldn't be possible, and potentially at a very competitive rate, particularly with some expert advice. It will be important to ensure that you have the highest chance of success BEFORE yo...

Hi Chloe. It's possible but, in the short-term you would certainly need a reasonable deposit and expect to pay higher rates than you could perhaps obtain from the High Street lenders. The bottom line is that the longer time that subsides the better it is likely to become.

...and now Post of the Month to boot! So, on the basis that Destiny wouldn't have been on the forum without the IVA, does the £25 voucher become an asset of the IVA and have to be paid to the IP?! :D I think not, congratulations Destiny.

Hi Jamie. I wouldn't be too concerned. Ultimately your creditors have agreed to the IVA so, as long as you stick to the agreement, any remaining debt will be written off at the end.

Juju I also appreciate that your IVA may not have run as you expected and it's a shame that you have not referred to this forum before, as it is often a great resource for many people. I can assure you that we are a bona fide company, established over 27 years, and act in accordance with both FCA re...
