Not having to deal directly with your creditors is one of the advantages of an IVA after all!

I have to qualify the above by saying that, as you are no longer even in the IVA, I see that as being far less of an issue for a potential employer.

I agree with Foggy and I suspect that, if they are thorough, they will ask you this specific question at some stage anyway. Because it's such a highly regulated environment, and depending on your exact role, they may just need to manage your supervision slightly differently. For example they have an...

I'm afraid I can only confirm what has already been said. It will be correct and the IVA will show on your credit file for 6 years.

It appears to depend on whether their IVA was completed and it's just a matter of removing the restriction on the property, or whether there is some question regarding whether the IVA is finished at all. I doubt the former on the basis that creditors are still having to vote. Therefore it would real...

Wherever we are involved in assessing ability to release equity we use the former method Foggy mentions.

The Insolvency Practitioner there is Steven Cooke, who I've always found to be very professional. Of course you may still wish to speak to another firm to compare the advice you've been given.

I would certainly recommend talking to an Insolvency Expert - possibly one of the experts or sponsors of this forum? A re-mortgage may not be a viable option if you have limited equity and, in particular, if you have already started missing payments on credit.

I agree with previous comments (and very funny Foggy!) - it would free her from the ties of her IVA although her credit file will remain damaged in the short-term.

I'd echo previous comments regarding fees....anyone needing to charge their fee up-front rather than on success might be doubting their own ability. Depending on your other circumstances (amount of deposit, income etc) then it may be possible. A decent specialist adviser will be able to establish th...

Both issues can probably be managed, on the assumption that the builder bought the property in part-exchange. This all relates to Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) guidelines and Anti-Money Laundering rules but it's possible that it can be navigated if everything is 'above board'.

I have never heard of anyone being repossessed by their mortgage company simply for being in an IVA either....and I would be amazed if a court were prepared to sanction a repossession order either (assuming that you are meeting the repayments). Have you actually asked your lender for a rate switch? ...

I agree with Foggy. The topic has been debated numerous times on the forum but in my opinion not declaring it if you are asked the question is fraud. They may ask the question 'have you ever entered an arrangement with creditors' in which case the answer is YES. If they ask 'in the last 6 years have...

Alternatively you could consider raising money with a mortgage or loan in order to offer funds to your creditors in full and final settlement, then sell and settle the debt.
