Hi Chloe. It's possible but, in the short-term you would certainly need a reasonable deposit and expect to pay higher rates than you could perhaps obtain from the High Street lenders. The bottom line is that the longer time that subsides the better it is likely to become.

...and now Post of the Month to boot! So, on the basis that Destiny wouldn't have been on the forum without the IVA, does the £25 voucher become an asset of the IVA and have to be paid to the IP?! :D I think not, congratulations Destiny.

Hi Jamie. I wouldn't be too concerned. Ultimately your creditors have agreed to the IVA so, as long as you stick to the agreement, any remaining debt will be written off at the end.

Juju I also appreciate that your IVA may not have run as you expected and it's a shame that you have not referred to this forum before, as it is often a great resource for many people. I can assure you that we are a bona fide company, established over 27 years, and act in accordance with both FCA re...

It's only my opinion of course but, based on what you say, I'd be very surprised if they don't approve it. Fingers crossed for you.

If your IVA was extended in lieu of equity release then there shouldn't be any reason you should have to do so. Was this definitely the reason it was extended?

I would be concerned about letting it fail for the same reasons as Foggy. I'd suggest talking to your IP to see if there are any alternatives.

They are a creditors' agent and will vote on behalf of the creditors they represent. Ultimately it will depend on whether they believe it to be a credible and reasonable offer.

A lot will depend on the rest of your circumstances (date IVA first registered, what equity you have in your house, incomes etc.) but lenders and advisers would want to understand how/why the credit has been built up again. Their natural concern will be that you are going down the same path again; t...

You can use this to check the address to write to (I'd suggest recorded delivery). Write to 'The Data Controller' at the company.

Personally I would deal with this now, along the lines Foggy describes. You are entitled to expect the information recorded against you to be correct and it may hamper your plans should you want to obtain credit or a new mortgage.

The general consensus here has always been that you are better answering the questions honestly (or forever be waiting for a tap on the shoulder!). It's not really an FCA issue but an employment issue. I am intrigued to understand what a non-FCA approved insurance broker is though?
