Your IP will write to you to confirm that the IVA has been put in place and will send you the Chairman's report confirming the same - this should be sufficient for the Council. Also, from a creditors point of view there is often a charge of c£500 made by your IP for calling a variation meeting.

How much were your original total debts? Were they £4,962 (bit low for an IVA) or is this the figure you originally proposed to repay?

I agree an offer of £8-10k would probably be attractive to creditors.

Do you have enough equity for the clause to kick in? Otherwise you would only have c £9k left to pay so could possibly offer £6-7k.
