Sounds like a reasonable offer to me.

Administration costs are likely to be saved although there is likely to be a variation fee charged.

Se my short video here for more details:

Sorry can you expand on your post a little bit.

What forms have you signed for PPI?

What access has been given, and to who, and for what purpose?

Unlimited time to do what?

It depends on the wording of the terms and conditions with your completion - I would suspect it will need to be paid to your IVA Supervisor.

They might question how you have been able to save so much and consider whether there is an issue with the figures disclosed on your I&E and whether there needs to be an increase in your contributions.

All figures will have been contained in the final termination report and, especially in the Receipts & Payments.

I suspect as it failed relatively quickly there were probably no funds available for any dividend as the funds will have gone on costs.

Usually the IP will write to you about the options and why they have been discounted and why they have recommended an IVA - check your paperwork for this to see what was said.

If your IP cannot give you a straight answer it might be best not to take the lump sum until your IVA is over, assuming it is optional. I would expect if you drawn down a lump sum it will rank as a windfall in the IVA and will all be payable into the IVA (unless and until total debts costs and inter...

If they are your only creditor, it might be best to reach an agreement direct, rather than go through the extra work and costs of an IVA just to lock in one creditor.

Unfortunately it's a standard term in most IVA proposals to allow 6 months for the closure administration work.

It shouldn't take that long in practice but no complaint will be upheld within the first 6 months.

Keep the pressure on them to close it.
