Not judging but, if you have gone this long without gambling then why start again? Every penny you have spare I would have thought could be put away in a small savings account, with a guaranteed return. I know we get little relief from the constant money saving and total budgeting when in an IVA bu...

I haven’t gambled since nice my IVA was accepted last June. Am I allowed to have an online gambling account to have the occasional flutter on football once a week? Gambling had no impact on me getting into debt as I ever spent small amounts

Has anyone successfully came out of an IVA and into a DMP? With my job being the Way it seems almost that I don’t really need the IVA anymore and would probably pay my debt off quicker if I could use a DMP. Is this a terrible idea or has anyone done it?

Good to chat ear;lier. As mentioned - you have done everything right in the first year - informing the IP if your overtime/bonus on a given month was more than 10% of your basic salary. Exactly the same principle for the second year. Thanks for your help earlier!! Really sorted me out!! Looking at ...

The only pay that is guaranteed is my salary @ £28,349 and I do 17 weeks of standby in the year and the payment is £187.08 per week. The total came to £31,528 which I then deducted 23% for NI and tax contributions to get a basic salary. Does that sound acceptable ?

Your pay slip should be broken down into "Basic Pay", "Overtime" and "Bonus". Mine ( don't knbow if they all do) also gave me my basic hourly rate. Have a word with Keith who, I believe, put the figures forward in the first place. What I have now done is added my contr...

I wrote on here yesterday about my review . I’ve done it roughly on paper and somehow I’m left with £762 a month if I have to pay this there is absolutely no point in me being in an Iva as i would be worse off then before the IVA!! I’ve just done my net take home for the year and decided it by 12 an...

When I first when for the Iva we just took an average of 3 months salary which had my bonus , overtime and standby payments included. Any month I’ve gone over the 10% I’ve phoned up and made extra payments. Your income should be based on the basic pay and bonus / overtime payments dealt with each mo...

Hi everyone. It’s my first annual review which I’ve just received paperwork. In regards to my income my monthly salary is topped up considerably by bonus, standby payments and overtime which differs every month and can increase and decrease by anywhere of the region to £200-500 every month. When put...

Hi Pigger, I agree with Lulu. As long as your IP is happy then it shouldn't be an issue and with regards obtaining a Mortgage then once the IVA is completed it should certainly be possible, subject to affordability, etc. Regards Once IVA is completed would I have to buy house of parents and start m...

Agree with foggy and kallis you would be tennants and therefore nothing to worry over - my only question is are you currently renting at the moment or living with parents ? Can you afford the rent and household bills - does your IP agree to this potential change of circumstances ? I already rent a ...

Sounds ok to me! What generous parents. You'd have to wait for your IVA to drop off your record before exploring options. If creditors caught wind of it could it be used against me as an asset? What happens if I couldn’t get a mortgage after? I would hate to do anything that would negatively affect...
