You will probably now have to evidence the amount you send them --- the covering letter might do if it refers to the amount. Yeah it...

I have spoken to them and they want me to send the cheque directly into them... I can’t see how it’s going to be beneficial as it’s made out to me but they are inisisting that I send it to them

Hi everyone,

I’ve received an unexpected letter in the post from an old creditor (not in my IVA) saying I’m due a a £69 refund and have enclosed a cheque. Do I need to cash this then pay it into my IVA or do I get to keep it?

Thanks

Hi all,

I’ve been in an IVA for about 15 months now and it’s all going great no issues. My partner has applied for an IVA. Does this have any implications to mine or will they just run separately etc. We have no joint debts etc

Hi guys, I’m considering leaving my IVA and trying to make arrangements with my creditors. Last month I paid over 700 pound into my IVA. The problem is I have a slightly different job role now so my basic pay stays the same but I’m earning more bonus , standby payments and phone call payments in my ...

[quote="SteveUK"]I really can't see the point of this. You are going to repay the amount plus interest over a longer term than the IVA. Unless the interest is a lot less than the discount you get on the IVA whats the point? The only time I can see it being beneficial is if you know your ci...

Essentially, if there is enough equity in your property and you qualify for a loan, you can make an offer known as 'Full and Final' to your creditors. This would be conditional upon it settling your obligations and therefore, if accepted by the creditors, you would no longer be subject to the terms...

Yes it's quite possible, and quite common practice, although of course it will depend on your particular circumstances.

Every penny you have spare I would have thought could be put away in a small savings account, with a guaranteed return. I know we get little relief from the constant money saving and total budgeting when in an IVA bu...
