Also, check all 3 credit reference agencies and it should show you who your creditors were as they will stay on your record for six years. I keep seeing this on the forum. So, if your IVA ran for the full 6 years, should your details still be on the credit file? Or you mean 6 years after it finishe...

Just as well, I won't be going to any lenders in the near future and I didn't have credit cards or things on credit. At least not since 1997. I was thinking more about buying things in full, which I've done for the past 22yrs. Shops will think I don't have the money to purchase there, just based on ...

I only ask, as I've looked at my credit file and it says my IVA is active. Now, anyone looking at that, would think I'm still paying money to my creditors and in a debt management plan.
Not good.

Hi. Just a quick question. What should your credit file say ONCE, your IVA is completed/Certificate?
Active or Completed.
Thanks.

Hi.
I spoke to an IP at Payplan, who confirmed it is indeed my completion certificate, so they must be sending out a new style nowadays, or it's just their version. Id be interested if others who have received theirs are the same.

Hmmm -- it the letter says "we are happy to enclose your completion certificate", there should be one enclosed -- I do not think that letter is it ! The "Certificate" will only be a sheet of paper saying that you have complied with the terms of the IVA and that the IP is no long...

Now you have your completion letter that is it. Not quite sure what you mean about the wording of it? I would not recommend shredding your paperwork - you never know if you might need it in future if applying for things. Put it all in a box and file away somewhere like the loft. I still have mine f...

Hi. So, I finally got my completion certificate, which wasn't worded as I was told it would be, anyway, I'm just wondering if that now completes the contact with Payplan. I'd rather not hear or get in touch with them again, as I want to end that chapter of my life and put all their correspondence in...

I pay £98 per month at the moment, I’m due my first annual review x Hi thanks for the reply. I suppose it depends on how much debt as well, mine is quite a bit and I’m offering £85 a month and offering to extend to 6 years if need be . Not sure how much pence in the pound that would be though. My d...

Hopefully it won't be long - depends on who you are with. Not necessarily. Have I seen on this site your CC took two weeks with Payplan? I'm with the same company and I will be still waiting 2 months tomorrow and all restrictions were removed within a week of FFO. There is no consistency from case ...

Would you need a Mortgage on your next property? I ask as that may not be an option until the Completion Certificate has been issued unless you have access to a large deposit. Regards Hi. I would be moving in with a relative so no mortgage/rent to pay and I wouldn't be going through an estate agent...

There's nothing stopping you putting your house on the market and getting everything lined up as best as you can though.

But would it all come to an abrupt stop once security checks, financial, any charges on the property are searched?
