Hi....i'm in my 5th year of my IVA with Payplan praise the lord. My student loan repayments of £272 are likely to end in Nov of this year. My annual review is usually completed in Oct and I will no doubt have to do the extra 12 months payments due to owning my own house. Will I have to declare this ...

Hi....my husband and I are doing our 4th annual review with Payplan. My husband is self employed and his earnings have been pretty stable the whole way through our IVA going plus or minus 1k each year. Due to the covid grants he earned an extra 4k last year which has been included in his self assess...

Hi - I've had a letter from my existing mortgage company outlining that I am basically a 'mortgage prisoner' and should be able to move my mortgage to a better deal. I'm currently on an interest only mortgage, have never missed a payment apart from due to a coronavirus break as my husband is self em...

Hey....2 years completed of my IVA can't believe there are still 4 more to go but just got to stick at it and try and see the light at the end of the tunnel. Just submitted my annual review to Payplan via the app and it asked me to book an appointment for someone to call me. Firstly I couldn't even ...

So we were told by the IP that my husbands self assessment for 2017-2018 was to be paid direct to HMRC. Now we have had a letter from HMRC saying that they are sending us it all back including the on account payment that we made at the end of Jan! They said they are going to be in touch with the IP....

Ok I’ve checked the annual statement that we received last week. It has 2 HMRC amounts on it one which is £722 which is definitely for 2016-2017 tax bill. The other amount is for £876 which if I work it out would be approx the tax bill for 5.5 months after the start of the tax year up until we took ...

My goodness I'm so confused! I've looked at the paperwork....so we took out the IVA end Oct 2017. In the paperwork it gives a projected income to October 2018 with a projected tax payment of £938. That is the only self assessment tax figure that is included in the list of creditors but we didn't pay...

The tax bill from 2016-2017 was included in the IVA as we took out the IVA in Oct 2017. So we have to pay the tax bill for 2017-2018 and half of the tax bill for 2018-2019 by the 31st. Plus all the car issues I've had in the past 3 months, I've paid out over £500 for repairs and MOT.

Well i emailed my IP on Wednesday evening and still haven't got a response. I asked her on Friday how long it normally takes to approve a payment break and she said it had been forwarded to the supervisor inbox for approval and someone would be in touch shortly. I've taken my car to the garage today...

It starts 28th Nov 2017 and we haven't had any payment breaks up until now. This is the first year that my husband has had to make an on account payment which we had never even heard of before and our accountant didn't do our tax return for 2017 - 2018 until Sept 2018 when we were advised that not o...

Hi...do you think my Iva provider will allow us to take a payment break in order to pay the self assessment tax bill? We have to pay an on account payment as well as last years tax bill and we’re really struggling.

I don’t think the accountant was expecting it to go up that much and neither were we. I’ve re-read his t&c’s and can’t see anything about a back payment so at least that something. I guess they will treat as if I got a pay rise at the review and just increase the IVA payments by 50%. I’m going to tr...

I have been sending my payslips to them quarterly but they have never asked for anything from my husband. I know that when we started the process they asked if last years earnings were pretty standard and i said yes - which they were and have proof of this. I'm really panicking that they will make u...

Hi…my husband and I are in a joint IVA. He is self-employed, I am not. When we started the IVA process in Sept 2017 we obviously used the 2016/2017 tax return where he earned net profit £12.5k. His profit has roughly been this for the past 6 years or more. We have just completed his tax return for 2...
