The regulatory bodies are still too self absorbed or disinterested.

Indeed, or not really regulatory in any meaningful sense. This seems to me a somewhat (though not entirely) self-serving and incestuous industry.
The FCA aren't IMVHO a lot better.

The deal on my paperwork (and I believe this is standard) says that you have to hand over 50% of anything over 10%. The IP will calculate it for you. Last Xmas I worked some extra shifts all at hefty premiums and was pleasantly suprised at how little CFix wanted. The ability to hang on to a good chu...

At this level and for the reason stated, negotiating direct with Cap 1 would be my option. They do deals routinely You're not the only one with the problem. Try and get them to freeze the interest. This is what causes the problems on high APR debt. . A debt advisor at the CAB or whatever community a...

Stylishly reviewed by The Insolvency Panel. Even if you only care about your own immediate interests and understandably have no interest in the bigger picture this is still a great read. Apologies if this has been posted by anyone else. https://tipiva.org.uk/2018/09/27/ivas-and-insolvency-practition...

PS don't worry, nothing ever good came of it and your IVA should relieve the main worries of being in debt.
You'll be fine.

What do the good people on Facebook think is better? DMPs can be endless slavery (allowing for exaggeration) DROs aren't right for big unsecured debt and an IVA gives you protection from creditors, affordable payments, a clear way forward in your proposal and the protocol, plus the opportunity to ke...

Well credit where credit is due if you'll pardon the pun, but CFX have been on the money (another pun) recently and answered a query about extra earnings very clearly and promptly by email plus dealt with a CPA/Standing order prob over the phone very quickly too. I feared they might be a nightmare t...

Re Foggy's post: This is what my proposal says (orig with Knightsbridge and now Creditfix) and what the latest IVA protocol seems to say as it it additional income. Step change may interpret it differently........

What kind of a state would you be in if you hadn't gone up the IVA? It would have to be worse, surely. Think of it that way.

Whatever, an IVA is a way out of trouble and you're nearly there.

You'll be fine,,,,,inevitably!

It might be a good idea to keep some kind of record - spreadsheet ideal - of what you are selling when and how much, as I presume the Paypal account will link to your bank and a curious IP (or HMRC!) might ask questions which are always best answered with evidence.

As someone who had been up an IVA for a little over a year (and who spent nearly that long researching:) ho ho) my experience too has been that day-to-day living has seen little impact. The allowances, which is effectively how I+E function, are quite workable, and having a manageable monthly payment...
