Did you set up a direct debit or standing order with a view to going ahead and then cancelled the Iva? If it’s a standing order, they won’t be able to cancel that from their end and it would have to be you to stop a payment. My payments were standing order and was told after my last payment to make ...

Ah okay, it was just a paragraph- that's why I thought it was fake. Thanks for the responses Hi there, Out of interest how long did it take to get your letter through after last payment? Waiting for my letter of completion to arrive from Payplan. They quoted me 3 weeks....haha that’s already been a...

I am with Payplan and about 2 years into the IVA I had a modification agreed at a variation meeting, all to do with the fact that due to a change in circumstances, they’d get no equity from my house. This was agreed on the proviso that I’d pay a set amount wothin the last year. I totally forgot this...

Hi there, What advice did your IP company give you whilst in the process? They should be offering you the best way to go forward in the meantime. I initially went to the citizens advice bureau before approaching the IP company, who told me to offer a token payment of £1 to each company with a coveri...

Just checked my payment history online, they took a payment on the 3rd of the month over the phone then my DD came out on the 16th of the same month which was then my usual DD date for the rest of the life of the IVA.

Good luck with the meeting.

Hi there,

I can’t comment on whether it is standard practice but I’m with Payplan who did take first payment over the phone from me after the initial creditors meeting. That was 6 years ago but still remember them doing exactly that.

That sounds really tight as how do they know what every penny went on? It makes the term individual seem positively daft if taking someone else not in the iva into account.

At least they see sense if you weren’t even with that person when the debts were racked up!

Hi, Like Foggy says, his finances are his business. Not sure which company you are with but I’m with Payplan and they only wanted to know my half of the bills that I was paying and left my partners finances out of it. We are not married, don’t have joint accounts and met him after my Iva started. We...

Hi I’m not sure what the process is as I didn’t have a house to sell anymore so I had to complete an extra year of payments which I knew about two years into my iva knew I was going to have to do a 6 year Iva in lieu of the equit clause. Maybe start a new post so someone can answer this for you. Sor...

Try not to worry too much just yet. I’m with Payplan and I needed to have a second creditors meeting to add quite a large loan that was now unsecured halfway through my IVA. Was quite nerve racking as I was asking for another £17K to be added. No one got back to me on the day of the meeting at all. ...

Thank you and thank you for keeping me going in the last few months. I was a late comer to this forum but glad I found it eventually.

I think I will start to hound them in 4 weeks, 5 weeks, 6 weeks...and so on. I won’t rest until that bit of paper has arrived!

So my last payment left bank on the 16th March. They already show my next payment due as £0. They’ve reviewed my March payslip today and said nil extra to pay into the IVA. Sent it to the closure team now. Let’s see how long it takes to get the certificate? I’ll update for anyone in similar circs wi...

Hi, would you not be able to stay with the current insurer and tell your IP that one of your outgoings has increased to make allowances for that each month? And they’d simply need the evidence in the way of your bank statement or DD payments letter. That way, and someone can correct me if im wrong, ...

Yes will do.

It’ll be good to have money left over in my account next month but still feel tied to it until that CC comes through and can then start rebuilding my credit file!
