Interesting, MBNA were the only ones to request mods to mine too, also Stepchange. Stepchange rejected it as I just had the percentage required without MBNA and their modifications.

Is Smarty the one where your data is refunded the next month if you don't use it all? I recall reading about them last summer just as they launched. I almost went with them but them my phone was on it's last legs (full to flat battery within an hour) so I went with a Huawei on Vodafone as it was a c...

Unsure off hand on DLA, income based JSA and ESA income related were not taxable benefits last I knew, however contribution based benefit did go towards overall tax allowance for the year and would be included in P60 totals, although no tax is taken from the benefit itself.

Regarding ESA, have you applied for hardship or JSA whilst the appeal is being looked at? It usually goes to a mandatory reconsideration before ending at tribunal, so it is a drawn out process pushing 12months in my experience, do to remain at no income needs to be readdressed. Housing costs should ...

I should imagine in light of things like PPI claims, packaged bank account reclaims and the latest one about not telling you if insurance included a huge premium, the financial companies are super careful to avoid misselling or misrepresentation and probably keep cap recordings for some time. Chance...

Ignore it and if your phone allows you to block their number, do it. Send them straight to voicemail! I had call upon call from Leeds numbers as I had First Direct accounts. As I was using stepchange (also in Leeds) I Googled a lot of numbers after if no voicemail was left. There was nothing to say ...

Thought I would add this under money saving tips, I have Now TV and buy vouchers on ebay for so many months subscription at a time of entertainment or movies. Had some fairly good deals by doing this. I don't have a current debit card registered with them so they can't auto renew but otherwise alway...

As soon as my IVA was at the drafting stage I wrote letters to all of the people I owed money making them a token payment based on percentage of how much I owed them vs what I had left over each month after my budget, advising I would pay by standing order. Then I set up all the payments, apart from...

I would keep an eye on your bank, in case they try to take it again. I would worry the action to manually request the payment is in someone's to do pile and may be done late. Maybe even call them and ensure they don't take it again. Creditfix reminds me of my old office we had over a million pieces ...

I am on the Midlands, yesterday by 3pm I considered lighting the bbq as it was lovely on the back garden! I also thought I better spray raid too as an army of ants will be appearing in the kitchen soon otherwise. Mind you just over a week ago on the Friday it was warm enough to go out without a coat...
