Thought I would add this under money saving tips, I have Now TV and buy vouchers on ebay for so many months subscription at a time of entertainment or movies. Had some fairly good deals by doing this. I don't have a current debit card registered with them so they can't auto renew but otherwise alway...

As soon as my IVA was at the drafting stage I wrote letters to all of the people I owed money making them a token payment based on percentage of how much I owed them vs what I had left over each month after my budget, advising I would pay by standing order. Then I set up all the payments, apart from...

I would keep an eye on your bank, in case they try to take it again. I would worry the action to manually request the payment is in someone's to do pile and may be done late. Maybe even call them and ensure they don't take it again. Creditfix reminds me of my old office we had over a million pieces ...

I am on the Midlands, yesterday by 3pm I considered lighting the bbq as it was lovely on the back garden! I also thought I better spray raid too as an army of ants will be appearing in the kitchen soon otherwise. Mind you just over a week ago on the Friday it was warm enough to go out without a coat...

The 10% refers to 10% of the normal take home pay ... i.e you are allowed to earn an extra 10% above usual income before having to share any .... so it is not 10% of the overtime amount, but 10% of normal pay. Ahh yes, that makes sense! I knew that from what I have read, but my brain really is mush...

I had Barclaycard, they voted yes, MBNA voted yes but with a modification. The IP used their discretion to reject it as they were a low percentage of my overall and I had 76% even with them as a no.

As Kallis says, it is usually under the 10% 50/50 rule -- where the amount equivalent to 10% of normal take home pay is yours and the rest is then split 50/50 --- you keep half and half goes to the IVA. Say your usual take home pay was £2000 per month and one month you get £600 overtime .... you ke...

I just reviewed my credit ratings on Noddle, Mse credit club and Clearscore, something I avoided entirely before my IVA. The Experian powered MSE is so far behind that my IVA isn't even shown. As I was looking at those sites, I realised I am now around 6months on since my first contact to set up the...

Who were your biggest creditors? The company representing Natwest voted no on all of my accounts with them, but I just scraped in with other lenders saying yes. It was close.

I used them, with out any contact to other places. My experience was such: I submitted my form online, didn't phone them at all. Within 3 days got a call back which was to confirm some very basic info advise me what I would need on hand and arrange a proper callback which happened the week after. Th...

Whatever decision you make, I would speak with a couple of companies. I didn't, but maybe I should have. I didn't have the housing or relationship situations you are in, however each month I was in the same boat with money and that was stressful enough. Remember you may not get the house sold immedi...

I paid everything up to date, my meeting was mid Nov and I made payments on Nov 1st. With hindsight I would probably have paid my debts on the latest dates I could after payday rather than on the day I was paid,as that way I wouldn't have paid anything in November, but hindsight is a wonderful thing...
