An issue with Lloyds freezing accounts happened to me when I had got my creditor meeting date set. My ex had been using a joint account with them, I had a credit card with them. I had signed papers to have my name taken off the joint account 2months before starting the IVA process, but it wasn't act...

Once in a while I get an error screen flash up, with some text on it. I haven't taken a screenshot though so can't remember the message. I have to admit I visit the site less often now, because its less clear what's new and where a comment is added. I often think I am seeing a comment on an old post...

I think it varies between companies, offhand I think Stepchange asked me for 3 payslips and 1 bank statement. I had more issues with their Microsoft word document than I did with the review.

I was aware of this rule before my IVA, and it was emphasised in my data gather call from Stepchange. In all honesty, if I had received any windfall outside of an IVA, I would have used it to clear debts. I view it as if I do get any kind of windfall now, paying off 100p in the £1 (plus the addition...

I'm glad it's not just me thinking it! It seems like an old school message board, with those ancient pinned posts at the top, so I wondered if there had been a point the site admins had reverted to an old old version of the site coding. Don't know about drop downs Foggy as I use mobile view. It woul...

This is the second post about Lloyds, I wonder if I will be getting a surprise cheque too, given then were a big chunk of my debts.

I wouldn't answer the phone. I told them to communicate in writing (I told them this by letter) and blocked private number calling on my phone. I didn't answer unknown numbers and Googled them after!

Not surveys, but I use my phone to take photos of receipts through two apps, Receipt Hog and Shoppix. I earned £5 over 6 months from Receipt Hog, Shoppix was much quicker and took 2months. But that's based on every single receipt, and I tend to split my shopping up, on any single trip I night go to ...

The other thing that occurs to me as I read this is the help to buy part of the house payments, check the clauses in that to ensure there's no insolvency ties that could find them revoking it in any way. I remember hesitating about starting an IVA, although my circumstances are different to yours, I...

any advise please? I would suggest ringing the helpline and asking them if you should amend it / have it noted on file that you were in touch. My inclination would be to say you should if it is the year before the official receiver would have been dealing with your affairs, but it might have an imp...

Someone once told me he did this, stopped paying and it all dropped off after 6yrs. When I looked at the public insolvency record he was on there, with an old IVA unsettled. I suspect from what I was told, that he set up the IVA then did a bunk on them and allowed his new partner to take on all thei...

Welcome to the journey! I still remember getting The Call myself, and wanting to almost cry with relief. It must be amazing making those calls and hearing the relief in people's voices.

If you do decide to go ahead with an IVA, I would strongly suggest getting your name off the joint account to avoid impact on your husband's credit rating. Chances are if it's anything like my bank, you will find the joint account frozen the moment the IVA paperwork goes out to their loans team. Als...

If you are using a smart phone there are apps available to record calls *HOWEVER* the legality around recording a call is something to be aware of -you can record a call without informing the other party so long as you are the only oerdi person to listen to the recording. If you intend to play the r...
