Thanks all. It is a relief to have the extra amount available, I had a diagnosis a couple of months ago meaning I need to avoid some things, as ever in this situation the stuff that's "free from" are the more expensive items when you are shopping, even when shopping around. I haven't been ...

Update to my earlier posts about my first review with stepchange. The initial review forms were electronic and I struggled to get them to work with not having a paid version of word (posted about it on an earlier post, should anyone else have this issue). Review forms went off my email same day as r...

I hope it all goes smoothly :) I found all the stress and worry was for nothing, I had a decision today all is staying the same can’t believe I had a reply so quick. So try not to worry about it (easier said than done :( ) I don’t feel they go through bank statements that thoroughly as giddy said t...

Fantastic post to see. I just saw payment 12 has come out of my bank today, although I have been on the IVA journey since Sept last year, when I made the first steps and started living within that budget. The pressure off was immense.

I’m with Bennett Jones. They have been great so far whenever I have a question I always seem to speak to the same member of staff and they email back almost instantly. I asked when I would get a decision and she said she will be doing mine within next 10 days or so. I don’t mind this seeing as my I...

Evening all, I know annual review questions seem to have been asked a lot lately, this post is more a moan at my own impatience and a vent about insurers! I sent my forms back after the kerfuffle getting it done (mentioned in a previous post) and now it feels like I am a junior been sent to a hardwa...

My meal allowance is £10 for the odd occasions if I forget my lunch, or grab something extra. I considered the lunches in general were something that went under my groceries, as I take a packed lunch - perhaps I missed a trick! The guy at stepchange said it sounded low last year when they were setti...

Quote your banking terms to them, about not allowing other people access to your online banking and how if you did so, the any fraud occurred, you would be liable. They no longer apply as many banks have signed up to allowing third party access. Howver the responsibility for the account security st...

Before my IVA I recall reading a post where someone working in a letting agent was open to the idea of an IVA because of allowances being made for rent in the budget, so they felt they were more likely to get paid the rent than from someone struggling to make ends meet with a poor score due to lots ...

Whole heartedly recommend team rh for weight loss, they are on Facebook worth looking them up. After the initial £20 joining fee its only £4.99 a month, so it's cheaper than the big slimming clubs people go to weekly. They give you a calorie club to work with and it's more a life plan than a diet. A...

Yes! I just posted myself about mine. I have sent all my documents off on Monday by email, and now am still waiting on them answering it. Like you I have nothing to hide, but the idea of someone going over bank statements makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. Mine is mostly because I know I spent some ...
