It will remain on his credit record for six years from the time he took it out. It should have been removed from the Insolvency Register by now.

Have to say I agree with Foggy - the idea is to pay back as much as you can and not ignore letters or calls - it can only harm you in the long term.

Any PPI will need to go back to your creditors. We have had a couple of posters speak of this company - if they have cold called you, I'd avoid them. How do they know your details?

You do need to provide info about your provider and you should be able to deduct payments you are making in the meantime. It is normal for a variation meeting to be held - nothing to worry about.
