I am just starting to go down the IVA route, waiting for my proposal to be drafted.
I have been thinking about getting a second job working behind a bar. From the enquiries I've made 2 shifts a week would give me just under £50 a week. Would all this have to be handed over? I have an old car which no way is going to last 5 years without having some repairs done to it. Plus no doubt I will have some other expenses to pay for along the way. I just thought if I could build up some spare cash it would be such a relief to be able to do it this way. I'm guessing not but I've read so many different things regarding a 2nd part time job i thought maybe someone here could tell me exactly what the rules are.
I am prepared to hand some of it over but if all of it had to go towards my IVA monthly payment then it hardly seems worth working 7 days a week for the next 5 years.
I think that you may need to hand 50% of it over, but not totally sure on that one.
You need to sort that out with your IP.
