Hi I’m just wondering my mum has offered to pay off a final settlement amount in September on her visa of £3000 this is more than if I carry on my £140 payments a month until the end. I have been in my iva with Creditfix since April 2017. I pay £140 a month for my iva I’m wanting to do this as I’m going to university in September and worry whether I’ll be able to keep up my payments do you think it will be accepted and will it be a problem that my mum will be paying it on her visa?
There should be no issue as to where the money is sourced ( as long as it is legal, of course) on the assumption that the credit card repayments are going to be made by mum going forward ( of course, after the IVA there is nothig stopping you gifting your mum a sum each month which is similar to the card repayments !! ) .
By my guesstimate the 3K is what they would be getting up to the end, so they are getting what they signed up for ( less fees) and knocking almost 2 years off the IVA and are likely to accept --- although you can never be sure.

Make sure it is a full and final rather than a settlement and the money is only available for this otherwise the offer will be withdrawn.
