I am going to be on my 2nd year of my Iva. The reason I seek Iva because I want to save up for a car for it is so difficult without transport. Last year we bought a second hand car I didn’t tell Iva. It’s not that I want to hide it from them but I didn’t think it’s necessary to tell them. Now on the up coming annual review I put car insurance as expenditure. They wanted to call me . My question is did I do anything wrong? By not telling them?.

They will possibly be wondering how you paid for a car and will need to consider if insurance can now be added as an agreed expense. During my IVA I told my IP everything financial, whether they needed to know or not -- just in case.

Where did the money come from to buy the car?

This will be the potential issue they want to clarify.
