I started young as well Foggy... [:)]

Tomorrow all 3 grandaughters will come to stay, 7, nearly 6 and 19 months...we will have so much fun, collecting treasures "shells on the beach", painting leaves and each other [:D]

I consider it a blessing...I'm 42, happily married (sometimes!), a well paid career I love..but most importantly I'm a Mum to 2 gorgeous girls and Nan to my angels[:)]

I'm with you on this one Jan! Dave has grandchildren, but thankfully they're not local so we don't see them very often. As far as I'm concerned they are his and nothing to do with me! It wouldn't be any good them coming here anyway - the house isn't child friendly, and neither is Harry!

I was asked what the youngest one should call me and I've said that he can call me by my name - anything like nanny etc and I won't answer!

I have a step granddaughter born just before Christmas. We saw her the day after she was born and haven't seen her since.

I don't have stepchildren, so cannot and would never judge the relationship. On saying that, hubby doesn't have children of his own so to speak, but considers the girls as his family.

I enjoy a very close relationship with my Mum and have the same with my daughters. Not a day goes by when we don't choose to contact each other. We're not perfect by any means, just lucky I guess!

I speak to my mum a couple of times a week, although this week it has been daily as both parents have been ill so I've done the ironing and the shopping for them.

Daughter spends every other weekend here and hubby speaks to his kids a couple of times a week.

My daughter at present at 17 has caused me no problems and is what you would call a text book child but I await to see if I can say that in ten years time! The other 3 well they've given me my fair share of worry and I've been in A&E all night tonight with one of my grandtwins getting steroids due to a major croup attack, bless him, he's a lot better but got to have another dose in 12 hours. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.

Oh goodness, how rude of me. I never logged back in to reply.
Anyway our daughter Finley (yes I know its more common for boys!) was safely delivered at home 4th Feb. That would have been dad's 60th birthday had he lived.
The neighbourhood we lived in was a bit rough - horrible neighbours so at 1st op we moved.
A beautiful 4 bed detached cottage in a nearby village which we could afford to rent became available and we have lived there 2 months now.
Have to pinch myself. Country views, cows at bottom of the garden, lovely neighbours. Everything paid for. Living the good life.

There is hope

I think girls are fine my son was such a challenge, however we are going to his wedding in Cyprus 4 weeks today, not ideal as at a bit of a cross roads, 5 years in and today of all days hubby has to go on sick leave, self employed part time but final variation phone call due next friday 24th, not sure what to say as if he can't work we are basicly up s t creak without a bl...dy paddle. Anyway I have a girl and a boy and 4 beautiful grandaughters, (dont have them overnight) and now we just find his 2 children who he has not seen for about 28 years have 6 children between them, the joys lol, so now we are more skint than ever and 10 bl dy grandchildren, luckily 9 girls and 1 boy, I find boys so boistrous and showy offy and very naughty. Might just be me, but what challenging times we have ahead. Son paying for holi as we thought we would have finished IVA and pay him back in next couple of months but at the minute it may be we need to go BR with him not working Seriously worried now we needed to remortgage and cant and now income reduced down to mine. I can just afford to run the house without food. Could do with Mel seeing what she thinks our chancec are of keeping the house.
ITS OVER WE ARE FINALLY DEBT FREE, CERTIFICATE ARRIVED
