Should IP have kept my ppi money

Hi my wife and I was in a iva for over 5 years should have finished in August 2016 but rang me up to ask me to carry on for another 6 months because I been poorly with depressions so I said yes so the last payment was feb 2017 rang up and them there yes finished then in September I won a PPI claim 2.995 which the bank sent it to the iva company rang them to send me the money back to me because there left it open a week later there sent me the closing of the iva papers all done .there kept all the 2.995 thanks Steve we paid all the agreed money back .

All PPI is due into the IVA, even after it has finished. Some IP's will give it to you if if is uneconomical to distribute and a rare few just aren't interested, but, legally, it belongs to the IVA / creditors.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Agree with Foggy - it is due to your creditors.
