I have just had to pay the equity release amount which was sorted by a second chance mortgage.
I have not heard anything from my IVA practitioner i have countless e mails ignored and portal contact ignored as to whats going on. I have paid my 6 years contributions fully.
This will be the 8th year my IVA has been going on since i started this.
i just want to know what is going on and surely this means my IVA should be complete after 6 years payment and a equity release payment.

These wheels do turn slowly, I am afraid. For the general lack of response I would suggest a written complaint, addressed directly to your IP, by recorded delivery. If no joy, this can then be escalated to their regulatory body via the Government Gateway at: https://www.gov.uk/complain-about-insol ... actitioner
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
Hi it was sent to them a month ago.
Its the fact that it is not acknowledged they have received this.
So they must be holding on to it rather than giving it to the creditors therefore dragging the process on even longer, like i said it is now coming up to 8 years.I made my last 6 year payment in Sept. 2018
Check your bank account to make sure the payment has gone out to them. If it has gone out then it is down to your IP to sort it so keep pressuring them.

Did the IP acknowledge the payment? That's quite a long duration without the equity being addressed; what happened? Was your IVA extended previously? I would keep on at them to see what has happened
With regards to payments, the creditor might not necessarily get the funds so soon after you made the payment. If that was your final injection of funds into the IVA then the creditors would normally get their payments as the IVA is closing, with this period being <6 months to full completion. Some IPs will take closer to the full 6 that being said
Hi! I used to work for one of the UK's biggest Insolvency Practitioners - I don't work for an IP anymore but still have an extensive knowledge of the IVA industry. How can I help?
After I made the last payment I kept on at them and all they said was its been passed onto a another firm to sort out equity.
I do not believe they even passed it on when they said as the other firm got in contact and everything was sorted in about 2 months and they were brilliant and helpful.
Not to mention they near the end of my payments they actually changed my Direct debit to every other month and then tried to accuse me of not paying.Again countless e mails ignored eventually got reply as I made a official complaint but no apology or reason.
With my job I dont get the chance to use phone very often and dont have signal most the time.
