Hi everyone sorry to post again and probably sounds little silly asking this.
Every pay day I only leave in direct debits and take everything out bill wise in cash and store in envelopes for the month (brilliant advice given to me from here) anyway.. I usually leave around half of my shopping money in my account and do half online (Iceland’s) and then the other half in cash (Aldi) does that matter? Will they ask where the other part of my shopping money has gone as looks like I spend £200 a month on shopping when I don’t. I don’t tend to keep the receipts either I never thought about it till now. I do this because I work nights and have a 19 month old girl so I find it easier this way.

I doubt there are many IP's ( or minions) who have the luxury of the time to examine outgoings to any great degree, so something like this probably wouldn't even be noticed. Even it it were picked up, your explanation is perfectly sound.

I never saved receipts for things like shopping. Was never asked for prove of spendingi that area and I highly doubt like foggy says that they would go through with a fine tooth comb.
As long as your allowance for shopping os fair and you are trying to stay within it then thats usually all that matters. If your spemding was on par with that of a large family they might question it but if its reasonable then dont worry. They wamt to see proof of bills and debits. In 6 years we were never asked to show receipts for food shopping and i wouldnt know where to start if they had done!
Have a nice evening.

You will be fine - we did similar. And just had an odd receipt to show if asked.
