Hi all,

I would be grateful for any recommendations of solicitors who can advise me. My original IVA terms required me to sell my buy-to-let properties that had any equity, towards the end of the arrangement. My IVA was then modified to accommodate my reduced income and one of the modifications stated that “the debtor’s property is to be excluded as an asset of the arrangement”. I have taken this to mean that I no longer need to sell any of my properties. My IVA is coming to an end, but my IVA company has now stated that, despite the modification (which it proposed), I still need to sell, even though they are my pension.

Thanks in advance.

This tends to mean the property you are living in, rather than investment properties. I believe Lisa Thomas has details of a solicitor experienced in insolvency.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

Foggy, many thanks for your reply. I lived in rental property before and throughout my IVA, which they are aware of, so I don't think the modification excluding property refers to my own home. It's all very strange, and worrying...

Thank you for the steeer towards Lisa - I will contact her.
