Hi
I completed my IVA over 2 years ago with Aperture and received my paperwork stating so. During my IVA I claimed ppi as instructed and had around £7000 that went back into the pot for my creditors. I also had had debt to DWP of £5000 that originally went into the claim and I thought was settled, However 2 weeks after I received my paperwork to confirm completion I was contacted by DWP to say that this was never the case as these debts are not allowed to be written off so had to start paying again! anyway long story short I have received paperwork from First dispute management for more miss old products investigations!!! when is this ever going to end? I thought once you were signed off as complete it was done and dusted? Immediately my anxiety levels have soared it was the worst 5 years of my life and its all coming back to me!! why is this allowed to happen? Surely this is wrong the whole point of a completion notice is that your creditors are satisfied? is this just another money making scheme for these companies who charge 41% for their troubles???

Yes, they have already done PPI ... maybe more than once. But, as advised by the ombudsman, many previous claims were incorrectly refused and, even where a payment was made, it was possible that it was underpaid. So they have been advised ro lodge fresh claims (more than once). For PPI at least this is the last chance before the claims deadline.

As recently confirmed in the courts, PPI and the like still belongs to the IVA, as it existed during the IVA.

Many people are expending more energy and stressing about having to fill in another form, but, when all is said and done, it takes a few minutes and can be forgotten about.

It is a pain and, possibly, an affront, but then, so is the income tax return and we do those every year !
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
