It's urgent in that I'm desperate to know!

My creditor's meeting is on Thursday. Today I received a tax rebate cheque in the post. Do I have to hand that over?

Hope someone knows, it's driving me crazy!

Not sure if anything in this posting will help you Missy, or if you hang around one of the professionals may be along soon to advise. x

Thanks Lesley

I'm just not sure if I am bound by the terms of an IVA if the IVA hasn't been agreed yet?

I wouldn't like to say Missy, so we'll have to wait around, I hope you get a positive result x

Cash the cheque at a cheque cashing service, or ask HMRC to make it payable to a 3rd party. Not strictly right, but HMRC will do it for you. If this goes into your account it is an asset and is at risk.

Melanie will be along soon I'm sure Missy to advise what to do as she often works above and beyond office hours.

I would personally wait for her advice and not do anything about cashing it, always best to be up front in an IVA. That is how I conduct mine and Melanie is a very fair IP x

Well Melanie knows it's due anyway and to be honest I couldn't cope with the extra stress of trying to keep it quiet! My grandad used to say "Peace of mind is worth a million pounds" and it's what keeps me buying rail tickets even though no-one ever checks them!

I have to go now and won't be back in front of a computer till Monday, hopefully a pro will see this by then!

Have a nice rest-of-weekend everybody

You have a nice weekend too Missy and my sentiments exactly re the rail tickets.

Mel will advice on Monday if she doesn't pick up on this over the weekend, just give her office a call, nothing is too much trouble for them. x

This is a personal matter between Missy80 and myself, and one which is better discussed off the forum. I am sure that Missy80 will be happy to post the outcome of her IVA when the time is appropriate to do so.

I agree that this is something between missy and Mel.

We do not condone hiding things from our IPs on here Scott - always best to be upfront with the IP from day one.
