Hi everyone just a quick question I have applied for a holiday payment break for repayment mortgage for December with the halfax and been granted it do I need to inform IP cannot see anything about this in terms and conditions and have already taken a iva payment break of one mths and arranged to pay extra back on current iva payments as wife's car as now needing gearbox and advised a new clutch thanks

Yes, you need to inform the IP --- you are being granted an allowance each month to make this payment and it should not be given for payments not made. Your IP might agree to allow this to be put towards repairs ... then again, he might not.

Yes you should inform your IP as foggy suggests however you have a good reason to be doing it so I would hope some flexibility would be shown
