Today I received a letter from the Wellness group (Freeman Jones) confirming that my IVA will be extended by 6 months
so a quick call to them and all was explained, the extension is to allow them to complete the admin side of my IVA, it appears that I have paid enough in to my funds and now I have completed all of my payments and there was no need to pay the 72 one next week, they cancelled the DD from my bank and they explained that it should take around 12 weeks for the final paperwork to be sent in and for all the creditors to be signed off

so 'that is that' was their words which was a nice feeling indeed, so after 6 years paying off every month without missing a single month and sorting out any bonus payments I can feel happy as larry that its all over by the final piece of paperwork and a few ok's and files to be cleaned up and my name removed from the lists

one or two things that have been a god send to me are the following

1- the most amazing and supportive Wife in the world what a star
2- This forum for some great advise and support when needed and to read the issues other people have had and how advise has been given out to support
3- I now have a better understanding of how to save/spend without the use of cc, being in the IVA has taught me so much
4-try not to get down, the light is there at the end of tunnel, one thing I learnt was always talk to the IP about anything and they always tried to help

and just for the record which might surprise a few people on here...…...all the way through the IVA I had an account with HSBC and not once did they ask me about the IVA or anything

To those who have just started or are half way through, just keep going I like many others have been in that position and if you are unsure ask on this Forum, there are some truly amazing people on here who will always try and help and guide you through, they know who they are and they are worth their weight in Gold true heroes for those who are in an IVA

I would just like to finish off by wishing you all well and please keep safe and we will all be out of this soon
kindest regards
Oakley :D :D :D :D

Well Done Oakley !

Yes, the 6 month admin extension seems to be pretty much standard 'just in case' with covid throwing spanners around ! But, it seems, not needed here.

Good to hear about HSBC --- managing to keep under their radar is a rare thing indeed ... Bonus Points :-)

Onward and Upward. So glad we have been able to help along the way.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
IVA Completed 23rd July 2013 .... C.C. 10th January 2014
