Hi all,

Can someone please explain what is the new IVA protocol, and how does this differ from the old working practices?

Thanks.

The new protocol firms up how the property is to be treated, introduces the ability for a payment break and confirms how a redundancy settlement is to be dealt with. It also confirms the basis for uplift payments throughout the voluntary arrangement.

Hi Sinking Fast

If you google IVA protocol the insolvency exchange provides links to the old 2008 protocol and the new one also so you can see what has changed by comparing the two.

This sounds like a different protocol to the one I had in 2008, unless I've missed something.

I have those moments all the time Dave! Too much time on the computer I think!

Jan

It certainly is a different protocol.

If you have a read on the insolvency exchange link posted above it gives you links to both the 2008 protocol you are on and the new 2010 one and you can see the differences between the two.

It is, isn't it? Thanks for the link.

I wasn't aware it had changed but will certainly take note of it.
