In a weeks time it will be Christmas Eve. Many of us will be looking forward to small and safe meetings of friends and family, some of whom we haven't seen for the best part of a year. Others of us will be spending a different Christmas in a degree of isolation. All of us will be missing someone, or will know of others missing someone at the table this year.

2020 has, in very many respects, been an awful year. But, in other respects, it has been a bit of a 'reset' year for many. Going forward we might not take the same things for granted and will, hopefully, appreciate more of what we have. More so, I hope that the community spirit that has grown in every area of the world will survive the passage of time and survive our differences.

On behalf of myself, the other moderators of the forum who are so generous with their time (and, in Luluj's case, even being on the forum at 3 in the morning ! ), and on behalf of the IVA.Com Group Limited who generously provide this platform, I wish each and everyone a Very Merry Christmas, however you chose to celebrate this time, and I wish you all a better, safer and healthier 2021.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.

I'd like to echo what everyone else has said, and would also like to add how I have appreciated this wonderful forum (thank God I found it when in my hour of need ... so many times, may not have posted much, but read a lot and gained a lot of knowledge). All the support and advice every single one of the mods/experts and admin give to many of us who are either in an IVA or are considering going down that route, is second to none - invaluable. Seriously, you're all simply wonderful and so knowledgeable and it's so much appreciated, it really is. Take a bow y'all.

Btw Foggy, I do hope you were sitting on some sort of Golden Throne while typing out your 'Queen's Speech'. No? Shame on you! :D

Happy Christmas everyone. 8)

Thank you Tierney, have a wonderful day.

Since foggy wrote his Queen's speech lots has happened in the country ...

Tier 4 introduced for do many causing those in London, South East and East to have to change their plans for today - no opportunity to see family and friends for the majority, leaving some to be alone and feeling rather aggrieved.
In years gone by this would have angered me but actually its what needs to be done- it took a decision away and made my life a little easier with regards having people in the house overnight etc.

From tomorrow mg more enter Tier 4 - please please follow the rules - we all want to be able to do more normal things in 2021 , but everyone needs to pull together and follow the rules.

Stay safe and well xx
