I just received an unsolicited telephone call on an unlisted number that is on the Telephone Preference List.
When I answered I was greeted with a recorded message telling me that there was a way for me to avoid most of my debts through a government scheme. To learn more I pushed five on the telephone call pad and was connected with an information centre.
When I asked for more information as to they were, I was told that they were implementing a government scheme. I asked for the name of their business and was told it was Information Team Ltd. I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager and was told that no one was available.
Eventually when I pressed further, I was connected to another recorded message that told me if I wanted to make a complaint I should write to an address in Delaware in the US or e-mail

The number the call came from was 08447 739922.
