Oh here we are not even started and we have already gotten into a muddle.
We set up our new account in order to get sorted and gave all the details.
The bank asked us to sign a form so they could get details of the DD's to be transferred. I said ok, get the details and then we will decide but in the mean time i will move the important ones.
I did everything so when the list came in, hubby and i checked that we had transferred all that we needed to and did nothing else.
Just went onto new bank and realise that is you did not return by a certain date they transferred every DD which includes all the credit card ones. We have just realised this and two of them are going to come out in 2 days time.
Firstly we don't want them to come put as it is our creditors meeting next week and all the figures will be mixed up and secondly it completely messes the account up.
We phoned one of the credit card companies and they said it was too late to cancel.
As we live in Northern Ireland this has been complicated by it being a bank holiday today and tomorrow. Oh we have no idea how to stop them coming out.
We have ebanking and telephone banking.
We deleted them from the ebanking but when you read the details it says you can only actually delete standing orders and not dd's.
We phoned the telephone banking and they could not understand what we wanted to do. The person told my husband nothing else was due to come out the rest of the month which is totally wrong.
Dont panic but contact your IP as soon as possible and explain, he or she are there to help and as its a mistake I really dont think it will affect the outcome.
I would cancel any others due to come out with immediate effect and as ashb says contact your IP, it's a genuine mistake and I guess you'll have to pay these now.
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
The bank holiday in NI was on Monday not today and tomorrow as well - why could you not have contacted the bank today, as my Northern Ireland office were back working this morning.
