Hello, I'm beginning the IVA process with FSS and worried that I will have to use my credit to buy food up to my next pay day. I've also used some credit this month and on the acutal day I discussed going into an IVA. I'm worried that this will stop my application - please advise?

I think I did the same in the month I made the call to get my IVA set up (Spet 2017) as I had no other way to get food that month. The following month I was told to make token payments to my debts and live under my new budget, although many on here don't pay at all between setting up and agreement. Mine was agreed in the November that year.

Many do -- but only for essentials --- right up until the last minute. Getting a cut price TV at ASDA or using it after the IVA has been agreed, though, is a no no.
My opinions are merely that .. opinions based on experience. Always seek professional advice.
